Will my ipod music be erased if there is no music on my computer because it is on a flash drive?

Just bought a flash drive to get more room on my computer.I put my music on it, when i plug my ipod back into my computer will all my music on it be erased.

    if you sync it, yes. change the options to make it not sync automatically.
