Why does my internet kick off when i try to download the new ipod touch software?

When i try to download the new ipod touch software my internet kicks off and the msg comes up internet timed out. I have dial-up and its a 239MB file which takes me all day long to complete specifically 14 hrs and evrytime it gets a little closer and its nearly done and my internet kicks off. Am i doing something wrong?

my internet used to do that it will work when it feels like I moved up to high speed best decision I ever made and go to the library and download it their just copy it to a USB or disc

Because you have dial up, the connection could time out after downloading for so long. I have had that happen to a friend of mine trying to download something with dial up.

Best thing to do is take the ipod back to the store and explain to them, as your ipod could have the problem. Either that or your PC can’t comply with the ipods firmware/software. Without seeing it myself, best to ask a spcialist to look at it.

Buy a new modem.
