Where can I find a complete iPod music ripping program for free?
Posted on 2010 under iPod FAQ | 6 Comments31 Mar
All my music is gone from my computer, but it’s still on my iPod.
I’ve searched on google a little bit, and saw that there’s programs I could buy to get my music back on my computer, but I’d like to find a good free one before I go out and buy a program.

you dont need any software to get it on your computer, i did this myself , if you go and plug your ipod in, then go to my computer, and double click on your ipod, go to ipod control, then go onto music, there should be a few folders? open those [one at a time] and copy and paste the music to your computer, if you then open this files through iTunes and save them to your library you can play them, and see all the artist name/song etc.

Google a program called iPodRip. The last time I used it, I had to click a button every 50 or so songs because it was a trial version. It still ripped all music without me paying a thing.

You can also do it manualy by doing this:
Plug in your ipod to your computer.
Now go to "My computer"
Open your Ipod drive.
Go to "Tools" in the menu bar. (top)
Click on "Folder Options"
Go to the "View Tab"
In the Advance Settings Box find and select "Show hidden files and folders"
Click "Apply" and then "ok"
Now in the ipod Folders open "iPod_Control"
Go to "Music" Folder
Your music should be in there and your movies to but you might have to rename them.
