What do i do when my iPod stops backing up when installing new software?

I was installing the 4.0 iPod touch software, the loading bar constantly stops at the same point. What should i do?

    well thats not a problem unless you dont have everything on the pc, if it stops just do a complete restore to 4.0 without backing up and then just put everything back.
