If you watch any athlete getting ready for competition, you probably see them wearing a pair of headphones listening to their favorite music that will get them ready for the game. This happens with athletes at all levels of sport. You may want to get some headphones for yourself too. Selecting the best sport headphones will take a little work, but here are some things to look for.
You are always going to want to find a pair of headphones that are a good fit in every aspect. If you don’t like the earbud headphones and prefer the ones that sit on the outside of your ears, then make sure they have enough padding so that they are comfortable on your ears and are snug enough. You want all outside sounds and distractions taken away.
Headphone quality also depends on sound. You are wanting to have a good sounding pair of head phones. Some people like to have a lot of bass in their headphones so they can really feel their music. Since you will be sweating a lot it is a very good idea that you get headphones that are sweat proof.
Most athlete move around a lot. They are usually quick and fast with any number of movements in between. Any headphones you purchase need to be sturdy and not made of any cheap materials. They get dropped, many times on concrete, and need to last.
Runners need headphones that are comfortable. You don’t even want to know they are there. You want to have very good sound. The earbud type of headphone is better for these athletes. For this type of headphone, you want your headphones to be snug in your ear.
Headphones now come with another good feature that benefits those who participate in sports. This would be volume and other music controls built right into the cord. This keeps the athlete from reaching down to the music device such as an Ipod, MP3 players etc.
Get a long enough cord for your range of movement. No one like to have the headphones coming unattached from the music device from turning movements or jumping. But, if it is too long, then you run the risk of getting tangled up in the cord and a possible injury.
In selecting the best sport headphones, you are going to want to do a little shopping around. Make sure that they fit your needs. Make sure they are sturdy, durable, comfortable, and sweat proof so you can enjoy them for a long time.

CDs and albums have been the most popular ways to buy and collect music for many years. However, recently MP3s and portable players have started to replace these traditional mediums. I will explain how to build and maintain an iPod music collection. I am also going to point out some great features of MP3s. Finally, I will highlight some cool accessories that can complement your setup.
MP3 music collections have several advantages over using CDs such as being able to instantly access any song and not having to worry about scratched CDs anymore. Additional information about each track can be stored within an MP3 such as title and artist or album which will help make organize and play your music a snap.
An often used method to build an MP3 music collection is to convert tracks from your CDs into MP3s. To convert CDs into MP3, you’ll need a software tool. This tool is usually called ripper. A ripper can read tracks from a CD and encode them into MP3 and store on your computer. The ripped tracks still lack proper tags that either have to be generated manually or by using an automated service.
However, these services are not 100% reliable and do not work on all tracks. Buying music as MP3s avoids this problem. Songs are already properly tagged. There are some other tools available for obtaining larger amounts of music without having to purchase or download individual tracks such as iGetMusic. These tools record online music services and will tag each song.
When the audio is converted to MP3, you can often choose how much the audio is compressed. Less compression or a higher bit rate usually leads to higher sound quality. The result though is a larger size of each track. File size is less of a concern if you store your music on a computer hard drive but more important when using a portable player with limited memory.
By using a more advanced format than MP3, such as AAC Plus, track file sizes can be reduced by half without reducing audio quality. These newer formats, however, are not supported by some MP3 players.
Some of the benefits of having built your MP3 collection are that you can easily access any song, artist or album and play your music on any computer or media player. You can also transfer your music onto an MP3 player to enjoy outdoors.
If you want to enjoy your music collection on your PC or media player throughout your home, you can connect a wireless audio transmitter to your PC and set up wireless receivers to connect to speakers in other rooms. You may prefer listening to your music via headphones. Wireless headphones will free you from being tied to a headphone cord. Some models of wireless headphones employ digital audio transmission. These models avoid the loss of audio fidelity of older wireless headphones.

The iPod is an entertaining tool of extraordinary capacity. It can do practically anything. Such an interesting device naturally warrants hours and hours of use. This is fine until the battery runs out.
Having an iPod with you is the cure for boredom. Especially in iPod touch, which you can use to play games, music, movies, and do a bunch of other things.
But using it constantly has consequences. It’s a terrible sight to see your battery bar in the red, knowing you have no place or means to charge it. You could be out in public, far from your wall outlets or you could be on a long trip. Either way, knowing your iPod is dead or dying isn’t a good feeling.
If you visit an Apple store, you can get the battery replaced for a fee. A sky high fee of about $100, that is. Such a high cost makes replacing your battery the official way somewhat of an unviable option.
The good news is if you just recently purchased your iPod and it still falls under warranty, you can replace your battery for free.
Another slightly more risky option is changing the battery yourself. There are plenty of tutorials online the show you how to do it, and if you pay close attention to them, it can be relatively easy.
Watch as many tutorials is possibly can before you attempt to do this. Trying such a delicate task before really knowing how is a very bad idea, especially considering when you’re working on a valuable piece of equipment like an iPod. You don’t want to end up scratching or damaging it in any way.
Make sure you have the right kind of battery; different iPod models use different batteries. Once you sure you have the right type, and you watch several tutorials, get to work. You can save a lot of money and will be able to start playing with your favorite toy again in no time.

Apple’s iPod has become the de-facto standard MP3 player. A large number of manufacturers have jumped onto the bandwagon and are offering a huge number of accessories ranging from speaker audio amplifiers to advanced wireless audio products. I will take a look at some of the latest gadgets including wireless headphones which will open up a new range of possibilities for your iPod and iPhone and give some advice for buying these accessories.
Headphones are used by the majority of iPod users to listen to songs. However, loudspeakers are often a better option for indoor use. A large number of vendors manufacture speakers with an iPod docking cradle. Most of these speakers, however, have fairly low output power and low audio quality.
Picking some decent stand-alone speakers is often a better option. These speakers can be connected to an iPod via a small power amplifier. Amphony’s microFidelity amplifiers are some of the smallest audio amplifiers available. No matter if you go with a small power amplifier or active speakers, be sure the speaker amplifier offers low harmonic distortion, high signal-to-noise ratio and high efficiency in order to get maximum sound quality.
To solve the problem of tangled headphone cords, the newest generation iPods and iPhones have built-in wireless capability. Bluetooth enabled iPods can stream audio to any wireless headphones or speakers which support the Bluetooth audio protocol.
The majority of iPods doesn’t have built-in wireless. However, 3rd-party wireless audio transmitters are available that can connect to the iPod. Some of these audio transmitters can broadcast the audio to several headphones or speakers simultaneously. If you have a WiFi-enabled iPod, you can connect using your PC wireless network. Having your iPod connected wirelessly will appear just as if you have your iPod connected via USB cable. You can similar to using a USB cable transfer and synchronize tracks and change some of the iPod settings.
Getting music for your iPod can be a hassle and expensive. As opposed to ripping CDs, more and more users are buying music online from stores such as iTunes or download songs from file sharing networks. Some vendors are offering more practical and hassle-free solutions for building an iPod music collection by recording online radio stations. Some of the most advanced software such as iGetMusic will not only generate properly cut songs which match songs ripped from a CD but also automatically add title, artist, music category and album information to each track and insert the album cover picture of each track. These tracks can then be imported into iTunes and transferred to an iPod.
You can find further information about audio amplifier products from Amphony’s website.

Ipods are still a great way to take your music with you but with the iPod touch you can do a whole lot more.
The iPod Touch still offers you the ability to listen to music.
The iPod has taken listening and controlling your music to extremes. The iPod Touch has the ability to store 1750 songs and if you are listening to a song you really like with the touch of a button you are able to automatically hear other songs that compliment it. Its called the musical genius and it can put together multiple playlists for you.
What about gaming? The Apple iPod even comes with gaming.
The iPod Touch not only has 3D games but it has an accelerometer built in so you can be more in the game. You can also touch the screen to play if you prefer.
What about watching movies?
Yes. You can actually watch movies with the iPod. As I said, it has turned into a whole multimedia center. It has the ability to hold up to 10 hours of video. You can watch blockbuster movies, independent films, or even T.V. shows. The only downfall of watching a movie on it is that the screen is only 3.5 in. wide. That’s not how I like to watch movies but it can come in handy on long flights.
You can access the web with the push of a button
The iPod has wireless access to the web built in. That means that you can surf the web from anywhere that offers Wi-Fi.
You can read Kindle books on your iPod.
Not only can you read a book on it but if you have a Kindle to Amazon will synchronize them so you can switch between the iPod and the Kindle without ever loosing your place.
What about a phone?
No phone. That is probably the only thing the iPod Touch does not have.

Portable media devices for music and videos are all the rage these days, and the Apple iPod is the undoubted leader in terms of marketplace share and unit sales. That being said though, doesn’t denote that it is the only iPod on the market that’s good. There are several outstanding alternatives to the ubiquitous Apple label that are comparable not only in features but also in quality and cost. You can take the latest player from the Gen 5 line up of Archos MP3 players as a prime example of this, as for the price and quality of the device it gets my highest vote. I purchased the 80GB 605 Wifi model a few months ago and am totally sure that I made the right choice in ditching my iPod.
There are quite a few various characteristics that separate the Archos MP3 players from other brands of players on the marketplace. Just like all of the other MP3 players it plays music, but with the 80 GB of storage that provides I have been able to put every album that I own onto it and still have plenty of room to spare. With this unit you get a number of separate types of file support, including the.WMA protected or not, the .wav, and .mp3. It is a really nice feature because it means that I don’t have to wait around for conversion software in order to download my songs. Features like this make it a much more versatile and convenient player than many other brands.
You get a bunch more than a simple music player with the Gen 5 line though. You can very easily navigate through all of the menus in the Archos line of MP3 players with either your finger or the stylus that comes incorporated on an extremely high quality 4.3 inch color touchscreen. Because of the large size of the screen on this unit, it makes it perfect for watching movies, TV shows or even streaming videos from YouTube. The picture is amazingly sharp and shows up clearly in lots of diverse lighting situations. I only shake my head and feel sorry for people who try to watch movies on the tiny iPod monitor. Why put yourself through that when the bigger, better Archos MP3 players are available?
What I love most about Archos MP3 players is the way I can handle all of my content without having to be tied to a computer. Because of the wifi connection, I’m able to download songs, movies, and other videos on the go. The Archos player also has the Opera Web browser included into it which makes it very effortless to surf the net, check my e-mail, and do all of the gameplaying that I want wherever I’m at. This isn’t something that’s possible with many of the other players out there. Most of the other brands leave you stuck in the mud when you’re not at a PC and you can’t do an update until you are.
If you really think about making the acquisition of a portable media player, don’t just do what everyone else does and buy one of those expensive iPods just because of what it is. I unquestionably counsel giving the Gen 5 Archos MP3 player a spin. They are a lot more scientifically advanced than all of their competition and they are cheaper. Getting the most for your dollars is what being an intelligent purchaser is all about?
If you would like to find great deals on these Archos Generation 4 MP3 Players, then you must visit videomp3player.net. We not only have listings of these fine products but many more great listings of video mp3 players.
