Yes it does. You will need the iGPS360 module from Orange Gadgets.

If you start with a fully charged iPhone/iPod battery, it will last for about 3hrs with the screen on all the time. The battery inside of the module is only a memory back-up battery for storing satellite data.

can u comment on how fast it will drain the battery on an ipod touch using the unit without being plugged in to a power source? Why does it have a battery when it is using the power from the ipod touch?

Actually, this video was shot with the GPSSerial v1.1. The re-calculation of routes now works fine with GPSSerial v1.2 as well

Nice video. The re-caculate works fine on my 3GS. I’m thinking the app is not designed / tested for your set up.
