If i update my ipod touch software on a different computer, will i lose all my music and files on it?

I want to update my ipod touch software but i got a new computer so none of my music is on it. If i have itunes on "manage music manually" can i update the ipod without syncing or loseing my music from the ipod?

Well..if you really want to make that software update on a different computer, then Yes, all your music and files will get deleted. However, if you perform the Software Update on the computer that you have loaded all your music on to from, then iTunes automatically stores all your apps, music, etc..on to your computer.
Frankly, sorry, you will lose all of your files and music.
