I imported all of the songs, however, they will not play in itunes and some of them still have weird names like “TGLV” or “GIKR”. I’m trying to do this for a friend to take the music from her nano and put it on her touch. Please help.

@darken731; It WAS under ORGANIZE (to show hidden folders). But under Music, I had to go into each folder to get at the sound file; then I did a ´select all´ and ´copy´ and dragged the selection to Library to get the whole file in; I repeated this a number of times to copy all Ipod contents; MANY THANKS DARKEN731!!!

Go to Organize, Folder and search options, View and you will find the Show hidden files button. I copied my music files to Automatically add to iTunes folder and it did just that.

I moved music files into the Automatically Add toiTunes folder and it did just that. Excellent.
