How to I transfer iPod music to my iTunes library?

My computer recently had a virus, leaving the hard drive wiped out. I tried to add more music to my iPod, but it said that I would have to delete all of my music off if I wanted to add more. Is there any way I can transfer the music on my iPod to my new library so I won’t lose all of my music?

It sucks but you can’t do it. I had the same problem. It won’t let you take music from an ipod and put it into your library. it kinda makes sense cuz if you could then you could get music from anybody’s ipod onto there and apple doesn’t want that to be possible because they want people to buy all of the music from them. you could go to download.com and download lime wire. it lets you download any song for free. then you could download all the music you want to your library. it is very useful because then you dont have to buy the cd or buy the song from itunes. they have every song ever too.

You can use an ipod to iTunes transfer program to help.I personally use this AVCWare iPod/iTouch/iPhone to Computer/iTunes Transfer software.It helps me to transfer my songs/videos/photos from ipod to my computer iTunes directly and safely.It works well for me,you can give it a try.

You may refer to this step by step guide, it’s regarding how to copy all songs and videos from iPod back to computer and iTunes. My friends sent it to me, it’s safe and works pretty well for my iPod touch.

Simply use some iPod transfer program to help you, like this one called Bigasoft iPod Transfer. It can transfer iPod files between computer and iPod even without iTunes installed!
