   I’m not sure about this, but to my extend of iPod knowledge, the iPod is not like a normal mp3 player, you cant just drag and drop the file/song you want on it. If you were over at you’re friends house getting the music, then you’re iPod probably got it from you’re friends iTunes library. That means that the next time you update you’re iPod it will be looking for the library within your friends computer and not yours. Thats probably why you can’t put the music off of iTunes onto your iPod. I would suggest making a brief list of the songs you got from you’re friend and just redownloading them at your house or take over a CD to your friends and burn it to the CD and then bring it back to your house, compiling all of the music you want into your own iTunes library and then re-update your iPod so that it will update automatically when plugged into your computer. As for getting music from your iPod onto your computer, it can’t be done because the tricky people at Apple made it so that when an iPod updates it saves all the music under one data file type usually called iTunes/iPod library, or something similar, rather than just putting the file onto the iPod to be easily removed. Apple in this sense is trying to make more money, becuase the songs downloaded onto iTunes cant be burned to CD’s without changing the filetype and can’t be interchanged between iPods, that way everybody just has to buy it on their own and ergo, Apple gets more money.    Just burn the songs to CD and transfer that way. Download the latest version of the player first.

   you cant transfer song from you ipod to your comp the music is copyrighting it doesn’t let you sorry

   Your Ipod can only be synced to one computer. Is it synced to one already. If so, then you can burn the songs you would like from her computer onto a CD-RW and put them on yours. Its a pain, but it’s the only way I know of.

   You have to use the wire it’s in the box where the ipod was.
   You can’t get music fom your ipod into the computer…sorry thats how ipods work. You have to plug in your ipod to the computer first, then put your music in itunes….. then there will be a small pic of your ipod by the side, click on it and then click insert or was it called update and then walla! I hope it works and helps you I have a ipod and it ALWAYS works!

    As far as I know, those music files from iTunes are copy-protected, so you can download them when you buy the songs and play them on your own MP3 player, but you cannot copy them to another player. They play fine on your friend’s iPod but you can’t copy them to your iPod if they are copy-protected they won’t play.
