how do i get a non-ipod movie onto my itunes and convert it into an ipod movie?

ive done it b4 but i cant figure it out now. the movie opens with real player but wont open with itunes. ive tried to right click and open with itunes but that doesnt work. ive tried to import the file by going to file on itunes then import file then selecting the movie. it wont work. please help.

you need a third party program to convert videos to put in ur ipod, try this one, i use it all the time. Go to http://www.jodix.com they have a really good converter, it works good and fast. after you use it to convert the file, just drag and drop it in your itunes library, and it will show up and play in your ipod.
