Does an iPod software update delete your music off your ipod?

I have a 4th Gen iPod Nano Chromatic. Itunes says my ipod is ready for a software update. If i let it do this, will my music be taken off, and ill have to put it back on?

No you have nothing to worry about. In fact, you can’t delete ALL songs from your ipod or itunes with the click of just one button. There’s not a delete everything button. At least im pretty sure theres not.

Nope, you have nothing to worry about. The Itunes Software update updates only the firmware on your Ipod. The only thing that will wipe out your Ipod is clicking on the restore button in Itunes, so unless you have to, don’t restore your Ipod.
