Can I download a bootleg movie to my Ipod 30gb?

I received a bootleg movie from a friend. Can I download this movie to my Ipod. I am aware this is illegal but will it screw up my Ipod?

    I don’t see why it would cause a problem, you just need to make sure it’s in the right format (there are various free programs available to convert files to iPod format).
