I use Videora Ipod Converter. It’s good because it automatically puts the file into iTunes, but that only lets you put one file on at a time. Does this allow you to do multiple files at a time? I am trying to put the entire Family Guy series onto my ipod. I have it, but they are all, about 100 of them, avi files, and I don’t feel like converting avery single one, each at a time, unless I HAVE to. Can you do multiple files at a time?

Did you keep the res at or below 640 by 480? It did save as an M4V correct?

hey, thanks that was really helpful. but i need a little help.
i have an ipod nano 4G, and i did everything as it said, and when i go to put my movie on my ipod, it says that t cannot put the video on because it cannot be played on this ipod, can you help me pleasee?

  13. by EBA420, on April 25 2010 @ 2:08 pm

Check the size of the file to make sure it converted correctly. There is no specific size it should be, but depending on settings it should be at least a few hundred MBs for a movie. Also, instead of dragging in to itunes, try going to File and choose Import File or Folder. Try it that way.

Hey! Thanks for the help! But I’ve got a problem, my video has been converted to an m4v, but when I drag it into iTunes, all that happens is a quick flash on the top screen/bar that looks like it’s downloading for literally a split-second, then there is no trace of the video, PLEASE HELP!! :(

You are welcome! I know there are a few choices for programs to add subtitles, but I havent tried any of them so I wouldnt want to recommend one. But I googled “Subtitles iPhone iPod video” and came up with some that looked like they will work.

Well, at least its part way there :) Try another file. Maybe you just caught a fluke. Out of about every 50 movies I convert, I find about 1 that wont sync up. Also, try not to do anything with your computer while its converting. It takes all the CPU power to convert. I usually let them run overnight. Or when I know I am not going to use the computer for a bit.

  20. by LoverZero, on April 25 2010 @ 2:08 pm

    Oh, that worked!
Only the audio and video aren’t in sync. :(

  21. by EBA420, on April 25 2010 @ 2:08 pm

Yeah, its not doing anything. It should take like 30 mins or more depending on your machine. Try right clicking on the program and choose Run As Admin and see if that makes a difference.

  22. by LoverZero, on April 25 2010 @ 2:08 pm

It takes like, less than a second. Which is why I was suspicious of it. I don’t know why it’s not working for me :( I can’t find any files that were created.

  23. by EBA420, on April 25 2010 @ 2:08 pm

When you say it goes through the motions, how long does the process take approximately? It takes awhile, so if its happening very fast then something is up. Have you tried using search on your pc and search for the file name of the file it created? How about checking your HDD space? See if it shrinks after the process. At least then you know its somewhere :)

  24. by LoverZero, on April 25 2010 @ 2:08 pm

Yeah, I did that already. I just don’t think it’s actually making any file…

  25. by EBA420, on April 25 2010 @ 2:08 pm

In HandBrake, go to Tools->Options->General and mark the checkbox for Automatically Name Output Files. Then specify the default path where you would like the file saved.
