After the iPod Movie Converter in Itunes converts the movie, no sound is played. Why? How to fix it?

I have a lot of AVI and MPEG movies on my computer. I recently bought an iPod 5th Generation and downloaded the ITunes 7. Of course, these files don’t work on an iPod so I right-click the file and click "Convert Selection for iPod". It takes time converting, and comes up with a new file that doesn’t have any sound to it even on the computer. Why is this happenning? And How to fix it?
No, no, sorry. Not the 5th generation. I’m not sure which generation but it’s the latest one

i have the same problem also….but i got another converter…..get it from download.com its name is " Jodix Free iPod Video Converter" its a very good one
