i need to connect my Ipod video to a different laptop because the laptop that i usually use (the one that already has itunes on it) doesn’t work anymore and because im travelling tommorrow, i want to buy songs to it. If i download Itunes on another laptop would all my songs go away?

like i’ve done this before but all my songs went away! but then my cousin did it in my house and no songs got deleted!

I just bought a new ipod, but my laptop is being repaired so i cant set it up. I’m now at a library but it wont let me dowload the new version of itunes cause there is a restriction. Is there a way to set up the iPod without any downloads, AT ALL? And please dont say ‘yes’, i need instructions please
